Effect and mechanism of Bufei Huoxue Capsule on the intervention of chronic inflammation and mucus hypersecretion in the airways of rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
To investigate the intervention effect and mechanism of Bufei Huoxue Capsule on airway inflammation and mucus hypersecretion in rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) .
Methods

The rat model of COPD was established by smoking and intratracheal instillation of lipopolysaccharide . The lung function was measured by small animal lung function meter, and the morphology of airway epithelial cells was detected by hematoxylin-eosinstaining and alicinblue-periodopho staining, the expressions of IL-1β, IL-6, NE, TGF-β, EGF, IL-13 and TNF-α in BALF were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay , the protein expressions of TLR4, Myd88, NF-κB, Muc5ac, EGFR/p-EGFR, PI3K/p-PI3K, Akt/p-AKT were detected by Western-blot, and the expression of Muc5ac was detected by immunohistochemistry.
