Intervention effect of acupoint application of Xiaozhang Powder on abdominal distension and constipation after chemotherapy
To observe the intervention effect of Xiaozhang Powder applied on acupuncture points on abdominal distension and constipation after chemotherapy.
Methods

A total of 60 patients with abdominal distension and constipation who received chemotherapy in the Oncology Department of Integrated Medicine of China-Japan Friendship Hospital from June 2020 to January 2022 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group (

=30). The observation group was given Xiaozhang Powder on acupoints plus routine guidance, while the control group was given placebo on acupoint plus routine guidance.The changes of abdominal distension, fecal traits, time of defecation, the sense of restless defecation, degree of forced defecation and quality of life sore of constipation (PAC-QOL) before and after the intervention of Xiaozhang Powder acupoint application
were compared.
Results

Compared with the control group, the degree of abdominal distension, fecal traits, time of defecation, the sense of restless defecation, degree of forced defecation and quality of life sore of constipation (PAC-QOL) were improved in the observation group(

Conclusion

Xiaozhang Powder can improve abdominal distension and constipation in tumor patients after chemotherapy, which is of great significance to improve patients' quality of life.
