Yan Zhao medicine began with Bianque， and Yan Zhao medicine， with Bianque as its ancestor， is one of the sources of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）. In the historical development of Yan Zhao medicine， it is rooted in Yan Zhao culture and gradually formed a theoretical system of TCM clinical medicine with Bianque medicine at its core and guided by the Six Qi Theory. The medical bamboo slips Tianhui Medical Bamboo Slips （TianHui YiJian） unearthed from the Han Tomb in Laoguanshan， Chengdu， have been verified as a medical monograph passed down by Bianque and Canggong， as recorded in SIMA Qian's Records of the Grand Historian （Shi Ji）. It is the most comprehensive， content-rich， and valuable medical monograph in terms of both theoretical and practical research among the surviving ancient texts.
