Effects of wuxing music, language induction combined with stake standing on sleep and psychological status in liver-yang hyperactivity type hypertension patients complicated with insomnia
music, language induction, and stake standing on sleep and psychological state in liver-
yang
hyperactivity type hypertension patients complicated with insomnia.
Methods
2
A total of 135 liver-
yang
hyperactivity type hypertension patients with insomnia symptoms were selected from Guang'anmen Hospital, Xiyuan Hospital, and Wangjing Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences between April 2022 and March 2024. The patients were randomly divided into three groups
using a random number table, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received routine care and listened to
wuxing
music. Intervention group 1 received additional language induction techniques on the basis of the control group and intervention group 2 added natural stake standing training on the basis of intervention group 1. All three groups were intervened for 6 weeks and followed up at the 10th week. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS, including HADS-A and HADS-D) were used to assess sleep and emotional status before intervention, at 6 weeks of intervention, and at the 10-week follow-up. The differences in the observation indicators at different time points were calculated as Δ6-week (value at 6 weeks minus baseline value) and Δ10-week (value at 10-week follow-up minus baseline value).
Results
2
At 6 weeks of intervention and at the 10-week follow-up, PSQI scores for all three groups decreased compared to baseline (
P
<
0.05). At the 10-week follow-up, the PSQI scores of intervention group 2 were lower than those of the control group (
P
<
0.05). The Δ6-week and Δ10-week PSQI scores for intervention groups 1 and 2 showed statistically significant differences compared to the control group (
P
<
0.05). At 6 weeks of intervention, HADS and HADS-A scores for intervention group 1 decreased compared to baseline (
P
<
0.05). At the 10-week follow-up, HADS scores for all three groups decreased compared to baseline (
P
<
0.05), and the HADS scores for intervention group 2 were lower than those of the control group (
P
<
0.05). The Δ10-week HADS score for intervention group 1 compared to the control group, and the Δ10-week HADS and HADS-D scores for intervention group 2 compared to the control group, showed statistically significant differences (
P
<
0.05).
Conclusion
2
Wuxing
music, language induction combined with stake standing can improve sleep and psychological state in liver-
yang
hyperactivity type hypertension patients with insomnia. The therapeutic effect of combining
wuxing
music with language induction and stake standing is superior to the use of
