Heart disease has become the leading cause of non-cancer-related death among cancer patients. Doxorubicin-induced heart failure is a key issue in cardio-oncology. Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in preventing and treating doxorubicin-induced heart failure. Deficiency, blood stasis, and toxicity are the pathological basis of doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity. The correlation between the heart and lungs, and the concept of "cardiopulmonary co-treatment", are key to both the pathogenesis and treatment of doxorubicin-induced heart failure.
Yiqi Xiefei
Decoction
is one of the representa
tive formulas for cardiopulmonary co-treatment and has significant advantages in treating doxorubicin-induced heart failure.
