Objective

To observe the clinical efficacy of Pingle bone-setting function therapy combined with stick-acupuncture tendon-releasing therapy in the treatment of shoulder periarthritis.

Methods

A total of 76 patients with shoulder periarthritis admitted to the Non-Surgical Treatment Center of Osteoarticular Diseases， Luoyang Orthopedic-Traumatological Hospital of Henan Province （Henan Provincial Orthopedic Hospital） from October 2023 to July 2024 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group according to a random number table. Both groups received conventional treatment and Pingle bone-setting function therapy for the shoulder joint， and the observation group was additionally treated with stick-acupuncture tendon-releasing therapy. The treatment course for both groups was 2 weeks. Pain was assessed using the visual analogue scale （VAS）， and shoulder joint function was evaluated using the Constant-Murley shoulder score. Clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.

Pingle bone-setting function therapy combined with stick-acupuncture tendon-releasing therapy can significantly relieve pain and improve shoulder joint mobility in patients with shoulder periarthritis， demonstrating remarkable clinical efficacy.
