Objective To observe the validity and reliability of Chinese medical symptom rating evaluation forms for breast cancer. Methods Totally 112 breast cancer patients from galactophore department of first affiliated hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University were selected and the Cronbach’ s α and split-half reliability were used to evaluate reliability. The content validity index（ CVI） of the scale item was evaluated by expert evaluation method. The validity was tested by comparing the Medical Outcomes Study36-item Short Form Health Survey（ F-36）. The t-test was performed on the TCM symptom integral before and after the intervention of TCM nursing program,and the reaction degree of the scale was investigated. Results The Cronbach’ s α and split-half reliability were0. 79 and 0. 74. The range of the content validity index was 0. 80-1. 00,and the Scale-level was 0. 95. The scores of TCM symptoms were negatively correlated with SF-36,the symptom score of TCM was significantly decreased and the difference was statistically significant（ P < 0. 01）. Conclusion The Chinese Medical Symptom Rating evaluation forms for breast Cancer has good reliability,validity and reactivity,which could be applied to evaluate the symptoms of breast cancer.
