Objective To study the curative effect of pressing manipulation on pain and limited function caused by frozen shoulder. Methods 73 patients with frozen shoulder were randomly divided into treatment group(40 cases)and control group(33 cases). The treatment group was treated with pressing manipulation and basic manipulation. The control group was only treated with basic manipulation. Before and after treatment,VAS score, present pain intensity,McGill pain questionnaire and shoulder Constant scores of both groups were observed and analyzed statistically. Results After 30 days of treatment, the treatment group was better than the control group in VAS score, simplified McGill pain questionnaire, and shoulder Constant scores and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The curative effect of pressing manipulation combined with basic manipulation for frozen shoulder is better than that of basic manipulation used only. The curative effect is obviously seen and the adverse reactions are less. Therefore,it is a safe and effective treatment for frozen shoulder.
