To observe the effect of Qingre Chushi Decoction on improving facial skin characteristics of patients with damp-heat type of acne.Methods 65 patients with acne of damp-heat type were randomly selected from September 2016 to December 2017 in our hospital.They were treated with Qingre Chushi Decoction and 20 healthy people were taken as control group during the same period.The skin properties of acne patients and control group before and after treatment were quantitatively evaluated and analyzed by VISIA skin image analyzer.Results VISIA data showed that the absolute scores of red area,brown spot and purple substance of acne patients before and after treatment were significantly different from those of healthy people（P<0.01）,and there was no significant difference between the absolute scores of pore and healthy people（P>0.05）.The improvement of red area, brown spot and purple substance in patients with acne were observed at the 2 nd and 3 rd week after treatment with Chinese herbal medicine.Conclusion Qingre chushi Decoction can improve the red area,brown spot and purple substance of acne patients significantly.
