Objective To observe the effect of Jianpi Zhidong Decoction(JD)on the expressions of main neurotrophic factors in prefrontal cortex and striatum of Tourette syndrome(TS)rats.Methods 32 male SD rats were randomly divided into blank control group,TS model group,Tiapride group and JD group with 8 rats in each group.TS model rats were established by intraperitoneal injectioning IDPN(250 mg/kg/d)for consecutive 7 days.After modeling, blank control and TS model group were intragastricly administrated with physical saline, and the remaining two groups were administrated with Tiapride(21 mg/kg)and JD(16 mg/kg)respectively for 8 consecutive weeks.The rats were sacrificed after 24 hours of the last dose, and the specimens were taken and stored in liquid nitrogen.The contents of brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF), glial cell-line derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF), vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and transforming growth factor beta1(TGF-β1)were assayed by ELLSA.Results Compared with the blank control group, the contents of four factors in TS model group were decreased significantly(P<0.05);compared with TS model group, the contents of four factors in Tiapride group and JD group were increased significantly(P<0.05);compared with JD group, the four factors in Tiapride group were increased even more obviously(P<0.05).The expressions of above four factors in prefrontal cortex and striatum were basically the same.Conclusion JD could elevate the expressions of neurotrophic factors in prefrontal cortex and striatum caused by IDPN.
