Objective To observe the effects of Liqi Tongbian Acupoint Plaster on the clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients with qi stagnation type of functional constipation.Methods A total of 60 patients were divided into treatment group and control group by random method with 30 patients each.The treatment group was treated with Liqi Tongbian Acupoint Plaster made from a basic prescription on Shénquè（神阙CV8）,and the control group was treated with 1/10 of the dose of the basic prescription of the Plaster on the same point.The treatment course was 4 weeks,and the changes of the overall symptom score,single symptom score and SF-36 life scale score of constipation before and after the treatment in two groups were observed.Results The improvement of overall and single symptom scores of constipation in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.The VT,MH and PCS dimensions in the SF-36 scale were improved after the treatment in the treatment group,with statistically significant differences（P<0.05）.The improvement in the BP dimension after treatment in the treatment group was better than that in the control group,with statistically significant differences（P<0.05）.Conclusion The self-designed Liqi Tongbian Acupoint Plaster for the treatment of qi stagnation type of functional constipation disease can significantly relieve the clinical symptoms and improve quality of life.
