Objective To observe the clinical effect of elephant skin powder in treatment of diabetic foot ulcer.Methods Patients with diabetic foot who were hospitalized in the Department of Peripheral Vascular Diseases of Dongzhimen Hospital and other 9 hospitals from June 2018 to June 2019 and met the inclusion criteria were divided into the experimental group and the control group.Both groups were treated with standardized internal medicine and wound dressing.On this basis,the experimental group and the control group were treated with elephant skin powder and epidermal growth factor respectively for 1 time/d,and observed for 14 days.Results A total of 180 patients completed the trial,90 in the experimental group and 90 in the control group,and the total effective rate was 95.5% and 84.4% respectively.After treatment,the experimental group was superior to the control group in the comparison of the reduction of wound area,the reduction of TCM syndrome scores and total cost（P<0.05）.Conclusion Elephant skin powder treatment has a good effect on diabetic foot ulcer with deficiency syndrome.
