Objective To observe the effects of Liqi Runchang Recipe on opioid-induced constipation.Methods 104 patients with constipation of Qi deficiency and Qi stagnation caused by using opioids were randomly divided into control group and treatment group with random number table method.The control group（n=52）was given oral Lactulose Oral Solution.The treatment group was given orally Liqi Runchang Recipe.Both two groups were treated for 2 weeks as a course of treatment.The score,TCM syndrome score before and after the treatment and the therapeutic effects of between the two groups were compared and the safety evaluated.Results There was no statistical difference between two groups before the treatment（P>0.05）;the symptom score of two groups after the treatment were lowered（P<0.05）,and the symptom score of treatment group was more lowered than that of the control group（P<0.05）.The scores of TCM syndromes in both groups were decreased after treatment（P<0.05）,and the scores in the treatment group were more significantly lowered than those in the control group（P<0.05）.After the treatment,the findings of blood and stool routine,liver and kidney function,and ECG in both groups had no obvious changes.5 cases in the control group showed abdominal distension and nausea,which are probably the adverse reactions of Lactulose Oral Solution,so without management,these symptoms were alleviated.Any adverse reactions were found in the treatment group.Conclusion Liqi Runchang Recipe can effectively alleviate opioid-induced constipation,which has better effect than Lactulose Oral Solution.
