Objective To observe the clinical effect of Xiegan Qingxin Decoction in the treatment of young people with primary hypertension of flourishing upward of heart-liver fire type.Methods 60 cases of patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into Xiegan Qingxin Decoction treatment group and Chinese patent medicine（Songling Xuemaikang Capsule + Quantianma Capsule）control group by random number table method.The total clinical efficacy, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, the changes of TCM syndrome scores and safety of the two groups were compared.Results The total clinical effective rate was 93.3% in the treatment group and 86.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant（P < 0.05）.TCM syndrome scores of both groups were effectively reduced, the treatment group in improving hot temper, palpitation, irritability, insomnia and other symptoms was better than the control group.There were no adverse reactions in the two groups.Conclusion Xiegan Qingxin Decoction is effective and safe in the treatment of primary hypertension in young people of heart and liver fire flourishing type, and the curative effect is better than Chinese patent medicine group.
