Objective

To observe the clinical effect of Ren Du vessel alternate spreading moxibustion combined with Qiangjin Mixture for postpartum rheumatism patients of liver and kidney deficiency.

Methods

84 patients with postpartum rheumatism of liver and kidney deficiency from January 2020 to July 2022 were randomly divided into 2 groups， a control group（

=42） and a treatment group（

n

=42） using random number table method. The control group was given oral Qiangjin Mixture， 25mL each time， twice a day， for 4 weeks， as a course of treatment. On the basis of this， the treatment group was treated with Ren Du vessel alternate spreading moxibustion， once a week for 4 weeks， as a course of treatment. Pain grading index （PRI）， visual analogue scale （VAS）， existing pain intensity （PPI）， Oswestry dysfunction index （ODI） score and TCM syndrome score were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.

After treatment， PRI， VAS， and PPI ODI score and TCM syndrome score in both groups were decreased compared with those before treatment（

The combination of Ren Du vessel alternate spreading moxibustion and Qiangjin Mixture can effectively relieve pain and improve the dysfunction for patients with postpartum rheumatism of liver and kidney deficiency.
