Spastic torticollis is a common focal dystonia in clinical practice, with symptoms classified in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as "spasm", "tremor", or "neck rigidity". This report describes a case of spastic torticollis treated according to master YAO Xinmiao's principle of "focusing on tendons and prioritizing tendon management". The
patient received TCM therapy to dispel wind and resolve phlegm, combined with acupotomy to release tendon nodes, aiming to "correct the bones, relax the tendons, and promote the flow of
qi
and blood", achieving the therapeutic essence of tendon regulation. After two months of treatment, the patient's torticollis symptoms were resolved, and the clinical efficacy was confirmed.
